VP, FINANCE

YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Vice President of Finance at Evolution. As the VP of Finance, you will play a crucial role in guiding the financial strategy, planning, and execution of our organization. Your expertise in finance and your ability to navigate complex financial landscapes will be essential in driving the financial success and sustainability of our rocket company.

Responsibilities:

​

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the overall corporate objectives. Provide strategic financial advice to the executive team, analyzing market trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making processes.

​​

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Provide accurate and timely financial reports, insights, and recommendations to the executive team and other stakeholders.

​​

  • Financial Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks that could impact the organization's performance and profitability. Implement effective internal controls and compliance measures to safeguard the company's assets and ensure adherence to financial regulations.

​​

  • Capital Management: Oversee capital management activities, including cash flow management, capital allocation, and investment strategies. Evaluate and advise on potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships to drive business growth and maximize shareholder value.

​​

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to comply with financial reporting standards and maintain transparency.

  • Investor Relations: Act as a key liaison with investors, shareholders, and financial institutions. Prepare and deliver financial presentations and reports to communicate the company's financial performance and future prospects.

​​

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

  • Compliance and Governance: Stay updated with relevant financial laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards, tax laws, and other legal requirements.

WE WANT TO KNOW

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CPA, CFA) is highly preferred.

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in a technology-intensive industry, aerospace, or the defense sector.

​

  • Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

​

  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.

​

  • Demonstrated experience in capital management, investment analysis, and financial risk assessment.

​

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to provide sound financial advice to executive management.

​

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of building and managing high-performing finance teams.

​

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
