On April 22nd, 2023, Evolution demonstrated its hypersonic capabilities with the successful test launch of the Evo-4 rocket. This 21.5 ft long and 10.2 inch diameter rocket, powered by Evolution's proprietary solid propulsion system, achieved a velocity of Mach 5.2 and a peak altitude of 124.5 km. By surpassing the Kármán line, Evolution became the ninth privately funded US company to reach space, solidifying its position as a leader in solid rocket motors and hypersonic propulsion systems.

Built to Meet Capacity and Quality
One of the primary goals of the DoD is to ensure that the United States has a strong and resilient industrial base, especially in regards to its solid rocket motor production at speed and scale. Evolution is here to deliver on both.
Located near the iconic NASA test stands and DoD research facilities, the Evolution Space and Energetics Corp Propulsion Center repurposes a 36 acre former Mississippi Army ammunition plant acquired by NASA in 2011. Designed with expansion capabilities to scale by demand, the center's current capabilities include a baseline capacity of producing 2,000 lb. of propellant per day, extensive propellant storage, and serves as an operational base for hot fire testing using the E-3 Test Complex.
